Personal care.
With dignity, always.
Respectful support with personal routines at home, shaped around your physical and emotional needs, privacy and preferences.

Your comfort.
Your choices.
Personal care can help when daily routines become more difficult because of age, disability or mental health circumstances. Nova Care Group supports adults under and over 65 in their own homes, with an approach that recognises the person behind the support needs.
We respect individual rights, choices and cultural values. Your preferences about timing, communication and personal privacy are part of planning care. Support should help you maintain independence and quality of life, while responding to your physical and emotional wellbeing.
What personal care can include.
- Getting up and going to bed
- Dressing and undressing
- Bathing, showering and hair care
- Shaving and oral hygiene
- Continence care
- Medication support as assessed and agreed
- Overnight care arrangements, subject to assessment and availability
The tasks and level of help are agreed individually. Medication support follows the care plan and the competence required for the task. We do not assume every person needs the same routine or the same amount of assistance.
Assessment before care. Reviews as life changes.
Before support begins, we carry out a thorough needs assessment and discuss your goals, current arrangements and the people you wish to involve. You can ask how care would work and what it would cost before deciding.
An individual care plan records the agreed support. Regular reviews help keep it relevant as your needs or preferences change. You and those you choose to involve can raise questions and discuss adjustments with our team.

Your personal care questions
Can I choose how personal care is provided?
Your preferences about routines, privacy, communication and cultural values are part of planning care. Tell us what helps you feel comfortable and who you would like involved. We discuss the agreed approach before support begins and review it with you.
Can personal care include medication support?
Medication support is discussed during the needs assessment. The agreed tasks must be recorded in the care plan and provided by staff with the required training and competence. Tell us what help is needed so we can confirm whether it is suitable and available.
How is my care plan reviewed?
We discuss your needs, preferences and goals before care starts. Regular reviews help keep the agreed support relevant as your routines or circumstances change. You and the people you choose to involve can raise questions with our team.
Can I enquire on behalf of someone else?
Yes. Family members and professional referrers can start a conversation. The person who will receive care should be involved wherever possible, with their wishes and consent respected.
You don’t have to work it all out alone.
Tell us what matters to you. We’ll help you explore whether our care at home is right for your needs.
